Received by Bite Back Magazine, and a nice reminder that direct action doesn't have to be a masked activist burning down a lab or opening cages on a mink farm. Direct action can start in the home

"a liberated mouse in Anacortes, WA.

A small little mouse was rescued from a horrible mouse trap (the sticky adhesive kind) with the quick, kind heart of an animal lover.

Although this wasn't from a pet store, but from my parent's home, I understand why you may not find this as beautiful as I do. BUT, this mouse was rescued. And scared. He was, however, the most well behaved wild animal ever. I think he understood what I was doing and didn't try to bite me and sat still. I had to pull its little legs and tail out of the mess, but he was freed, a little sticky but apparently unharmed.

The traps have been discarded so as not to look suspicious and so that no other animal could possibly get caught in them. A job well done. The mouse was kindly set outside, and waved a little thank you as he ran off."
