"On september 11th, 2005 an ALF group invaded a zoo and broke the locks of the cages, painted Animal Liberation and other messages and left a Manifest explaining why they were doing this. Ten monkeys and two birds left the cages. There are about 100 animals living there.The zoo is in the biggest park in Porto Alegre (the city population is 1,5 million).

The action was covered by the TV, radio and four newpapers (two of them with pictures on the first page), all of them said who the ALF is. One headline was: "Protestors release animals at the Redencao Park Minizoo - Animal Liberation Front invaded the place and freed ten monkeys."

ALF is alive in Brazil."
