According to media reports, ten hunting towers were damaged beyond use in Wendishain (Döbeln district, Saxony). The damage was discovered by hunters on April 19.
Across the country, in the Buhlert forest (Aachen district, North Rhine-Westphalia) in mid-April, four hunting towers were knocked over and then cut into pieces. Another tower was also sawed, making it unusable, and a nearby wooden hut used by hunters was also damaged. The owner of the hunting lease told a local newspaper that without the hunting towers it will be difficult to continue to hunt in the forest. (photo: Aachener Zeitung / az-web.de)
