Reported by activists in Spain (visit FreeDarren.org to learn more about Darren Thurston):

"Dear friend, comrade and brother in fight Darren:

Some years ago I started reading about the animal liberation movement and I looked into how to help in the struggle. Searching the internet I read an interview that inspired me quite a lot. The web site was www.nocompromise.org and the interview was with you. You talked in it about the cat liberation in Alberta University and about some arsons made against meat trucks, also in Canada. Your determination touched me, and made me realize the necesity of direct action for animal liberation.

I have heard that you are in prison again, and to be honest that gives me and my comrades even more energy, this shows us that what you said in that interview about keep going even when you suffer repression were not just meaningless words, there were honest words from your heart.

Now its our turn, your comrades outside, to show you that the fight continues, and thats what our group of friends have done. On saturday 22 we went to a farm in Bellpuig, a village of Lleida, that encaged dozens of thousands of partridges for being hunted. Most of the partridges were in the shelters were they had the food, so we opened the huge doors and hundreds of them flew away.

I want to say to you thanks personally and in the name of my comrades. If I
wouldnt have read that interview a while ago, maybe I would never have seen those partridges flying towards freedom. For someone who believes in animal liberation theres nothing that can give us so amount of happiness as
getting the animals out of the cages, and you have helped me to taste that
experience. I hope that somehow this letter gets you out of your cage, even
in a mental way; and hopefully you get out of the cage in a physical way as
well, but you are already with us, in our hearts.

A strong and sincere hug from your comrades of the FLA in the spanish state. We love you and we feel your arrest the same as the one of a brother,
because for us you are our brother."

parte a ti.
