On April 4, activists from Tierschutz Einsatz Kommando (Animal Protection Task Force) carried out a daylight raid on Germany's largest fur farm (Appelburger Futter-Service GmbH, in Wesenberg-Zirtow), where an estimated 40,000 mink are confined. Approximately 100 cages were destroyed. Farm equipment and vehicles were damaged. 50 mink were taken from the farm and released into a nearby wilderness.
